Something Digital 2020: The Rebel Edition
It's 2020. Things are a little bit different.

We are living in a BRAVE new world. One which is unpredictable, uncontrollable and a little bit crazy.
So, in order to fit in, we’ve thrown out the rule book.

This October, Something Digital is going rogue and running as a hybrid festival.
Part In-Person. Part Online.
About the Festival.
Designed from the ground up as a hybrid festival, this year, Something Digital will run both In-Person and Online.

The In-Person activations will run in multiple venues across Brisbane, enabling our digital community to meet, engage and collaborate.

The Online experience will run via our virtual hub. Curated content will be streamed live and sessions will be interactive. You will also have networking tools allowing you to connect virtually with the other Something Digital attendees + partners.

3 Program Streams.
For 2020, the curated program has been extended to three full days giving us the opportunity to dive deeper into those aspects of digital innovation that are critical in our post pandemic digital world. The content will focus on 3 key streams:

Leveraging digital innovation to enable organisations to gain operational efficiencies, increase ROI and improve customer experiences.

Deep Geek

Navigating the power and implications of the technologies powering our digital world.

Digital Humanity

Strengthening the human element which is driving all our digital innovations - starting with ourselves, our employees, our customers and our communities.
2020 Theme. A BRAVE new world.
2020 will forever go down in history as ’that year’. The year when the world as we knew it came tumbling down. When we dealt with bushfires, pandemics, political instability and ongoing uncertainty but rose through it with a renewed sense of what it means to be human to be together.

In adversity lies opportunity. Opportunities to do things that we might have not necessarily done in a ’normal’ world. To take risks. To grow in ways we never thought possible.

2020 is giving us the freedom to be rebels in a BRAVE new world.

A world which is more reliant on digital innovation today, than it was six months ago.

From digital acceleration to workforce augmentation; social innovation to data accessibility; digital manufacturing to supply chain reinvention - there are solutions, efficiencies and returns for everyone to thrive on.

The call is to end this year with a bang. To hold onto our rebel status and thrive in a BRAVE new world. To amplify our digital capabilities and to celebrate the incredible people that make up Queensland’s digital ecosystem.

It’s 2020. Things are a little bit different.
I found so much value in Something Digital! It's a great day with cutting-edge speakers, interesting topics and like-minded individuals to network with. Would recommend to anyone working in the digital space or just wanting to gain some more industry knowledge!

Kaitlyn Black, QPAC
Infinitely inspirational, thought-provoking discussions for everyone in the digital landscape.

Gareth Mason, Australian Web Industry Association
Something Digital was the best tech festival I've been to. The speakers went beyond the surface of digital topics and dived into big discussions. We need more of this.

Penny Massey, AECOM
The team at Something Digital are real alchemists. The whole event was a well-balanced fusion of thought leadership right here in Brisbane.

Stewart Jones, TechPath
Something Digital brought in several excellent speakers who challenged and inspired me to think differently about our company's ongoing transformation into digital processes and automation.
