You've read the program, stalked the speakers, planned your attack of the Beyond the Stage activities. All that's missing is the a-okay from the boss to actually get your ticket!

We have the solution... A letter to your boss, outlining exactly how unmissable this event is for anyone in the digital ecosystem, whether you're from government, big business, research, the education sector, agency or start-up land.

We've even provided two versions - the first for if your boss is Mr/Ms Professional, the second for if your boss is up for a giggle every now and then...

And if your boss is a little old school who likes printed things (we all do sometimes) ... we also created this handy PDF which you can download and flick over.

For the serious boss...

Dear [Boss Name]

Something Digital is coming!

Now in its fourth year, the Something Digital festival is back this October, bringing together Queensland’s entire digital ecosystem for Queensland’s leading Digital Innovation Festival.

Put simply, this is not an event we want to miss and I’d love for you to send me (and the team).

Need more convincing. I have three succinct reasons on why we need to be there:

One. World class speakers
Our headliners have been tasked with provoking, pushing boundaries and challenging your thinking around digital innovation. This year's lineup hail from organisations including Google, Asana, ANU, Reddit, Tencent and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

60+ local and interstate speakers will take to the stage to challenge you to tangibly create a digital difference in your world.

Two. A mind blowing program
With a central theme of Conquering the Unknown, the festival will focus on the elements of digital innovation that not only strengthen our organisations, but help to boost life, yield great benefits to humanity and contribute to a future we are proud to leave behind.

The program features over 40 sessions and masterclasses with topics ranging from the business of innovation to digitising sustainability to our digital journey to the Olympics.

Three. Endless networking opportunities
In between the incredible on-stage content, there is another whole suite of activity. Dubbed the 'collaboration zone' activations will include speed networking, discussions and 1-on-1 meetings with speakers.

The next part is simple.

Take a look at the attached flyer and then give this incredible opportunity your tick of approval.

Life at the moment may be full of unknowns.
But I know we can conquer it.

For the boss who giggles at memes

Dear Present You,

I just had a visit from Future You, and you. were. pissed.

You had just found out about the Something Digital festival that happened in October, and apparently I really should have been there.

And so Future Me came to warn Present Me that I can’t let this festival go by without grabbing my ticket!

So what exactly did I miss out on?

One. World class speakers
Headliners who were tasked with provoking, pushing boundaries and challenging your thinking around digital innovation. This year's lineup hailed from organisations including Google, Asana, ANU, Reddit, Tencent and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Future You has made it pretty clear where Present Me went wrong.

We missed out on all of this, and more. As Queensland’s digital ecosystem grew tighter, stronger, better … we were left behind. *sigh*

But thanks to this wonderful gift of hindsight, we have the power to make it right!

The next step is simple.
